Fixed Asset Accountant (Shared Services)

JOB SUMMARY
The Fixed Asset Accountant is responsible for fixed asset accounting functions. Is accountable for recording the cost and tagging of newly-acquired fixed assets (both tangible and intangible), tracking existing fixed assets, recording depreciation, and accounting for the disposition of the assets.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
I. AME Capital Expenditure Management
• Capital Budget Planning
• Adaptive Forecast
• Capital Project Status Update
• Assigns Project Number to approved projects.
• Maintain and update the list of AME funded approved project
• Download, print, and safe- keep, copy of approved projects, including attachment from the CIM System

II. Fixed Asset Management
• Monitors acquisition of fixed assets
• Capitalize Fixed Assets
• Monitors Disposal of Fixed Assets
• Performs Fixed Asset Closing Procedures in Oracle and Allegro Europe Consolidation
• Prepares Quarterly Asset Impairment Review
• Reviews Fixed Asset Narratives and FA Policies and Procedures
• Prepares Sox Audit Requirements and Government requirements.

III. Other Support Functions
• Coordinates with the other departments on work requiring complimentary efforts. This additional duty requires close coordination with other departments with respect to matters related to the attainment of the department function and goal of the company.
• Formulates and recommends improvements of fixed asset system, procedures, and internal control.
• Performs other duties assigned by the immediate superior from time to time.

Education/Experience 
• Degree in Accountancy or Finance
• CPA license an advantage but not required.
• At least 2 years relevant working experience in Accounting or Finance
• Shared Service Experience and knowledgeable in Fixed Asset Accounting
• Has A2R (account to report) experience and is familiar with Oracle System
