JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for overseeing the controllership function in a sub-part of the overall organization (major region, region, country, group, division, subsidiary, other sub-part or a major functional area), or may be one of several executives responsible for overseeing the function at the corporate level. Responsible for directing the accounting function, maintaining fiscal records, establishing and maintaining budgetary controls and procedures, financial infrastructure, and preparing financial reports for the sub-part of the organization in compliance with the company’s reporting requirements and operating procedures.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Strategic Functions
1.1. Development of short- and long-term operational goals
1.2. Analysis of operations to pinpoint opportunities and areas that need reorganization, restructuring, or cost reduction
1.3. Keep updated on local business environment including new legislation as it affects local operations, and give recommendation to ensure compliance and best practices
1.4. Keep the management team abreast with regards to national and industry related policies that could potentially impact business operations in the Philippines.

2. Specific and Tactical Functions
2.1. Administers finance corporate functions
2.1.1. Internal control and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance
2.1.2. Selection and control of professional services
2.1.3. Tax planning and management

2.2. Assures timely preparation of financial statements
2.2.1. Profit and Loss Statement
2.2.2. Balance Sheet
2.2.3. Cash Flows

2.3. Assures statutory and tax compliance
2.3.1. Coordinates with local statutory audit requirements with External Auditors 2.3.2. Regulatory and tax compliance matters

2.4. Provides financial and economic analysis
2.4.1. Analysis of manufacturing costs
2.4.2. Analysis of general and administrative costs
2.4.3. Analysis of capital expenditures
2.4.4. Analysis for make, lease or buy decisions
2.4.5. Cost analysis

2.5. Directs the preparation of financial plans
2.5.1. Forecasting and trend analysis
2.5.2. Profit planning and budgeting
2.5.3. Capital budget

2.6. Management and control of company assets
2.6.1. Cash
2.6.2. Receivables
2.6.3. Fixed assets

2.7. Liabilities management and control
2.7.1. Establish credit lines with suppliers and financial institutions
2.7.2. Timely payment to suppliers and creditors after verification

2.8. Monitoring of capital structure
2.8.1. Determining capital structure needs
2.8.2. Establishing relations with capital suppliers 2.8.3. Foreign exchange risk management
2.8.4. Dividend and capital repatriation

2.9. Supervises implementation of financial accounting policies
2.9.1. Inventories
2.9.2. Fixed assets
2.9.3. Consigned assets
2.9.4. Liabilities and capital
2.9.5. Intercompany transactions
2.9.6. Depreciation and reserves

2.10. Attends to external relations needs
2.10.1. Relations with government agencies
2.10.2. Professional, community and civic activities

2.11. Assures that business licenses are obtained and/or renewed

Other Functions
3.1. Ensures compliance with the Data Privacy and its implementing rules and regulations.
3.2. Responsible in maintaining the ethics management system
3.3. Ensures compliance with good governance principles
3.4. Ensures compliance with anti-corrupt practices
3.5. Assist in all operational facility related issues
3.6. Assist in various legal requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education/Experience
• Degree in Finance of Accounting
• MBA is an advantage but not required
• CPA license is a plus but not required
• At least 10 years of relevant working experience in Accounting, Finance or Treasury
• At least 3 years managerial experience
