The Compliance and EHS Officer is responsible for ensuring the compliance to statutory and regulatory requirements of all pertinent interested parties identified by the organization. He or she will serve as the Safety Officer, Pollution Control Officer, and Workplace Officer of the organization.
Job Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance to all statutory and regulatory requirements of the organization.
Create sound internal controls and monitor adherence to them and draft and revise company policies with regards to compliance.
Evaluate business activities to assess compliance risk and set plans to manage a crisis or compliance violation.
Educate and train employees on regulations and industry practices to promote compliance and EHS.
Address various interested parties' concerns or questions on legal compliance.
Monitor operations for compliance with established environmental, health and safety regulatory requirements.
Conduct regular pollution control, safety officer and 5S audits of facilities and operations of the project to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
Attend to the requirements of the organization to ensure continued business.
Attend various trainings for continuous learning's and forums that will benefit the organizations.
Stay up to date on statutory and regulatory requirements.
Submit all documents monitored and requirement by various governing bodies.
Evaluate and improve environment, health and safety measures.
Advise on all matters related to workplace health and safety.
Investigate accidents, writing incident reports, and making recommendations.
Conduct inspections to ensure equipment and site safety.
Eliminate work hazards and promoting 5S activities.
Organize activities for EHS and conducts periodic EHS Meetings.
Job Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in any Discipline Course or equivalent.
Must have at least 2 - 3 years Compliance and EHS Officer related experience.
Pollution Control Officer 1 and Safety Officer 1 training.
Knowledgeable in various statutory and regulatory requirements of the Philippines.
Computer Literate.
Knowledgeable in statistics, forecasting, and management information methods and techniques
Strong interpersonal skills, supported by strong analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills.
