The Accounting Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing the company’s end-to-end accounting operations. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulatory requirements, and the efficient execution of daily accounting processes. The Accounting Supervisor leads the accounting team, strengthens internal controls, and supports management with timely financial insights.
● Supervise and review daily accounting transactions.
● Oversee general ledger maintenance and account reconciliations.
● Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
● Monitor closing processes to ensure deadlines are met.
● Review journal entries and adjustments prior to posting.
● Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and treasury functions.
● Ensure proper recording of revenue, expenses, accruals, and provisions.
● Monitor cash flow and working capital management.
● Ensure completeness and accuracy of all financial transactions.
● Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
● Strengthen and monitor internal control procedures.
● Coordinate with external auditors and tax consultants.
● Support statutory audits and government reporting requirements.
● Supervise and mentor accounting staff.
● Review work performance and provide coaching.
● Delegate tasks effectively and ensure accountability.
● Promote continuous improvement within the department.
● Identify opportunities to improve accounting workflows and automation.
● Ensure proper use of accounting systems and ERP software.
● Assist in system upgrades or implementation projects.
● Develop and update accounting policies and procedures.
● Assist in budget preparation and forecasting.
● Provide variance analysis and financial insights to management.
● Support strategic decision-making through financial reporting.
● Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
● CPA or equivalent certification is an advantage
● Minimum 5 years of accounting experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
● Strong knowledge of full-cycle accounting and financial reporting
● Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems
● Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills
