1. EDUCATION:
1.1. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering
2. LICENSURE AND/OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:
2.1. No license required
3. WORK EXPERIENCE:
3.1. Minimum of 2 to 3 years’ experience in Assistant Manager position
4. COMPETENCIES:.
4.1. Ability to lead cross-functional IT teams (Systems, Network, Technical Support)
4.2. Conflict resolution and decision-making capability
4.3. Builds accountability and ownership within the team
4.4. Strong knowledge of network architecture and IT infrastructure
4.5. Proficiency in system administration
4.6. Proactive in identifying risks, gaps, and improvement opportunities
4.7. Ability to plan, coordinate, and execute IT projects
4.8. Clear and effective communication (technical and non-technical audiences)
4.9. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities

5. WORK CONDITIONS:
Primarily office-based, with regular visits to branches, warehouses, or remote sites as needed
Standard business hours, with flexibility based on operational needs
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Team leadership and Management
Supervise the Systems, Technical support and Network teams.
Monitor team performance, workload distribution and service delivery
Provide mentoring and training to IT staff
2. Systems Management
Oversee installation, configuration and maintenance of servers, systems and applications.
Ensure high availability of IT systems
Coordinate with vendors for system related concerns
3. Technical Support
Ensure time resolution of IT tickets
Improve support services and user satisfaction
Handle escalated technical issues
Oversees IT asset and inventory management
4. Network Management and Security
Oversee network infrastructure (LAN/WAN, internet connectivity, firewalls, VPN)
Ensure network performance reliability and performance
Implement and enforce IT security policies and procedures
5. Project and Process Improvement
Assist in planning and implementing IT projects.
Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement
Create proper documentation of IT processes and systems
6. Reporting and Coordination
Collaborate with other departments to align IT services with business needs
Assist in budget planning and cost control
ORGANIZATIONAL SCOPE
1. Reports to the IT Manager
2. Heads the system, technical and network group
3. Supports IT operations across head office, branches, warehouses, and remote sites
4. Supports implementation of IT projects such as system rollouts, network upgrades, and store
openings
5. Enforces IT policies, standards, and procedures
6. Oversees IT asset and inventory management
7. Coordinates with external vendors and service providers
