Project Manager (Large-Scale Solar Projects/ BESS)
Overview:
The Project Manager will be responsible for leading and overseeing the successful execution of
large-scale solar projects from planning through completion. The role will ensure that projects are
delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality, safety, and client requirements.
The Project Manager will serve as a key point of coordination among clients, contractors, solar installers,
engineers, consultants, and internal teams. The role requires a proactive, assertive, and results-driven
individual who can effectively manage project risks, resolve issues, drive project progress, and maintain
strong relationships with various stakeholders.
Job Description:
● Drive execution of the projects, keeping them on schedule and budget, while maintaining
relationships with clients, stakeholders, and vendors.
● Maintain top-quality customer service with clients and all stakeholders.
● Manage project budgets, schedules, and other information.
● Evaluate the installer’s progress reports to manage project risks.
● Present project progress reports, key findings, and recommendations internally and to the client.
● Manage weekly meetings with contractors to discuss project progress.
● Engage and coordinate internal resources, engineers, consultants, and solar installers in the
preparation and execution of project plans through completion.
● Review and take ownership of project schedules for construction and delivery.
● Coordinate and manage solar installers, conduct project meetings, and provide weekly progress
reports to clients.
● Assist in the preparation and negotiation of construction bid amounts and contract terms.
● Work closely with Business Development team members providing recommendations on how to
enhance and improve building and/or site configuration.
● Provide site evaluation and due diligence including hiring consultants and evaluating/overseeing
when required.
Qualifications:
● Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a
related field.
● 3–5 years of relevant project management experience, with at least 2 years of experience
handling large-scale solar projects.
● Proven experience in managing solar construction, installation, or renewable energy projects
from planning to completion.
● Strong knowledge of project scheduling, budgeting, cost control, progress monitoring, and risk
management.
● Experience working with EPC contractors, subcontractors, solar installers, consultants, and
clients.
● Ability to lead project meetings, present project updates, and communicate key findings and
recommendations to management and clients.
● Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage project issues and
competing priorities effectively.
● Highly proactive, assertive, and results-oriented, with the ability to drive contractors and
project teams toward agreed targets and deadlines.
● Strong commercial awareness, including familiarity with construction contracts, bid evaluation,
and contract negotiations.
● PMP certification or other relevant project management certification is an advantage
