JOB DESCRIPTION FOR A SENIOR BUSINESS ANALYST
Our client is a data research and IT software development company. They were established
by a US-based Hedge Fund and have been experiencing rapid growth despite the ongoing pandemic
and financial market woes. As they in the industry would put it, they thrive in volatility. Our client
engages their sponsors in the fields of Financial Quantitative Research, Data Engineering, DevOps,
Applications Development, Cyber Security, and High-Performance Computing.
We are looking for a skilled Senior Business Analyst that can help us support our growing
customer base. In this role, you will use your knowledge and skills to work with clients to analyze and
design technology solutions for business opportunities. Working with the Applications teams, you will
act as the link between the clients and the technology teams to ensure solutions are right the first
time and lead to increased client satisfaction and new business.
You will collaborate with the different stakeholders within the company ensuring all concerns,
requirements, and contributions are documented and considered when coming up with data-driven
recommendations. You will provide project updates to client and technology management.
To be a Senior Business Analyst:
• Proficient in Agile Software Development.
• Excellent English Communication skills – both verbal and written.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and business domains in a fast-paced environment.
• Entrepreneurial spirit - be able to speak with businesspeople and propose technical solutions
alongside developers.
• Ability to communicate with both business and technical people.
• Knowledge of prototyping tools such as Figma.
• Hands-on experience in automated testing tools such as Selenium.
• Existing experience working in a high-performing team-based environment.
Your Responsibilities as a Senior Business Analyst:
• Gather and document stakeholder requests such as timelines, technical specifications, and
user requirements.
• Collaborate with the Applications teams and other users to define and suggest solutions and
ensure the project team understands all the details required.
• Update stakeholders on project progress.
• Identify blockers and ambiguity then resolve them immediately.
• Assist with user acceptance testing.
• Document application via user guides, changelogs, FAQs, etc.
• Work with Test Analysts to ensure the quality of delivery.
