Lead the country Finance team including Procurement responsibilities with focus on both businesses partnering and all areas of finance governance and internal control compliance
Implement adequate internal accounting, purchasing, and treasury control in accordance with established group guidelines or international and local guidelines to ensure compliance with Audit, Tax and Treasury requirements. Ensure compliance with local corporate, business and tax laws and regulations.
Assist the Managing Director in achieving the business & operations objectives – Revenue, LC, Cash flow, NWC, by driving both long- and short-term plans
Develop annual financial plans and budgets and monitor capital investment, control processes, policies and procedures, and provide regular reviews and improvement thereof
Responsible for financial reporting to the regional or group control, in compliance to the group reporting standards covering all Philippine affiliate entities
Participate in strategic planning, execution of strategies, and review of overall plans and programs to ensure achievement of corporate vision, goals and objectives
Provide continuous future focused business insights tailored to the businesses need
Be part of all commercial and investment decision making process with timely review and advise for all Capex application or in the procurement of materials and supplies or leases for various businesses and ensure Return on Investment. Ensure adequacy and propriety of insurance risks coverage for Philippine affiliate entities.
Manage country delivery in the areas of Forecasting, Planning, Analysis and Reporting
Review and monitor contractual agreements and similar commitments entered into by the company for corporate services as well as support to the core operating businesses.
Oversee discharge of daily duties and responsibilities of the Finance and Procurement division involving financial planning, analysis and reporting for the businesses, treasury, purchasing and general office administration
Challenge the businesses to drive sustainable value proactively through informed and insightful decision-making, as its Finance business partner
Lead Finance & Procurement transformation in the country
Provide inputs to Finance shared services team to enable finance operations delivery as per agreed SLAs
Support Internal Control ensuring ICS Compliance and ensure data integrity of country financial reports (Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet, etc.) and KPIs
Ensure that the team is fully conversant with the Operational Integrity expectations in connection with the work they are engaged in
Develop Finance and Procurement staff member technical skills and overall competence in the performance of their respective roles and in preparation for enhanced job responsibilities
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
With at least 10 years overall experience, with 5-7 years commercial accounting experience
Experience in accounting process design supporting strong internal controls and reconciliation practices, financial monitoring, including day-to-day cash flow, with the ability to explain variance to target and implement ‘early warning’ indicators for adverse trends
Strong experience in Financial reporting and proficiency in MS Excel and tools
Conversant with Oracle and Hyperion is a plus
Strong reconciliation and investigative skills with attention to detail
