Engineering and Maintenance Manager (must come from Chemicals Manufacturing Industry)

Job Responsibilities:
Oversee the maintenance of all plant machinery and equipment, ensuring optimal functionality in line with engineering best practices, regional/corporate guidelines, and company policies—particularly those related to Management Systems
Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of used oil and other waste in compliance with EHS regulations
Ensure uninterrupted plant operations with minimal downtime due to equipment failures, thereby supporting productivity targets
Supervise and validate repair works to ensure quality workmanship and eliminate rework or extended downtime.
Develop and implement the factory’s annual preventive maintenance plan
Ensure all machine breakdowns are recorded and analyzed. Identify root causes and recommend corrective actions. Ensure availability of critical spare parts to reduce repair lead time.
Assist in preparing the annual maintenance and capital investment budget. Monitor expenses against the approved budget and lead projects focused on innovation, efficiency, and sustainability.
Lead the testing, commissioning, and turnover of new projects.
Work closely with the Manufacturing Manager and Operations Senior Manager to discuss and implement improvements to plant operations, ensuring projects are relevant, feasible, and cost-effective.
Qualifications:
Graduate of BS Chemical, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
At least 5 to 10 years of experience in a similar role, in a Chemical manufacturing environment, Supervisory to Managerial in level
Must have broad understanding of plant and manufacturing processes, specifically Engineering & Maintenance works
Analytical and good execution skills
Proven good leadership, planning and management skills
